A trip to Lyon: Largest cities of Rhone Alpes
Few days back, I went to Lyon for a holiday. Lyon is the third largest cities of France and a great place for a holiday. It is located in between the Ferrad and Geneva regions of Rhone Alpes. We took the flight and landed on the Lyon Airport which is located 12 miles away from the main city. Lyon airport serves both national and international passengers and anyone can reach easily from any parts of the world. After reaching the airport, we hire a car from locationdevoiture.net to continue our trip. The airport provided free shuttle buses to various main cities of the Rhone Alpes region. These buses are served 24 hours a days and 20-minutes interval. As we are on a holiday, we hired the car and went towards Lyon.
When compare to its size, Lyon offer huge amount of things to its visitors and the city does not disappoint anyone. The city is the home of various outstanding art galleries, museums, excellent nightlife, fantastic shopping areas and plenty of evening entertainment. Lyon is the definitely a must to see cities of France. Lyon is also home of various theatres out of which Theatre des Celestines is known to be the best and the oldest. It is located in the heart of the city and was given a modern look by renovating it during 2003 and 2005. Lyon is world famous for its cuisnes where you find traditional dishes taking you back to 16th century. You find various restaurants serving traditional and contemporary dishes.
